Information, prices and contact.

Thank you very much for visiting our website. Below you will find a bit of information about us, our philosophy, our style of photography and a brief explanation of the wedding shoots we do.

We are a team of two people, Adrian Bonet and Yvonne Velázquez. We are a photographic duo with more than 10 years of experience and recognition creating wedding stories.

A passion for a job well done, carried out with the highest demands, makes us always put quality over quantity. Therefore, we limit the number of weddings we do per year, so we can dedicate all the time necessary to each project.

We have moved away from traditional photography of weddings and have gone for a high qualified service which combines technical precision and artistic sensibility, and is in constant evolution, on the lookout for new trends.

The use of the most advanced photographic equipment, the quality of our albums and the passion we have for our work, makes us an interesting alternative for the bride and groom who are looking for something ‘special’.

OUR STYLE:

Our style is part of the emerging trend called Artistic Wedding Photojournalism, which is a combination of documentary photojournalism and artistic photography.

Documentary photojournalism is based on the idea that the photographer must capture the moment as it is, without manipulating or modifying it. The photographer must capture a natural reality, not create an artificial one. This is why we interfere as little as possible in the event and allow for things to happen spontaneously.

Furthermore, we combine this photojournalism with artistic photography, which consists of working on the color and composition of the image to express the sensations and emotions of each moment. This combination is what allows us to capture all moments of a wedding, in its documentary aspect as well as in its emotional aspect.

PHOTOGRAPHIC SHOOTS:

We do 4 types of photo shoots: the Engagement Session, the Basic Wedding Photo Shoot, the Complete Wedding Photo Shoot and the Post-Wedding Session.

-Engagement Session: Is a 2 hour photo shoot where photos of the bride and groom are taken to be used in the invitations and in the signature book. Furthermore, it is an opportunity to break the ice, meet and get to know each other so that on the wedding day things move spontaneously and smoothly.

-Basic Wedding Photo Shoot: This photo shoot lasts 4 hours, it is short but intense. It lasts from the beginning of the ceremony until the end of the appetizer. The whole ceremony is shot, the portraits of the bride and groom and photographs of the guests during the appetizer. We recommend this for shorter weddings since it is much more economical than the Complete Wedding Photo Shoot.

-Complete Wedding Photo Shoot: This lasts about 12 hours and covers the whole event; from the initial preparations at the bride and groom’s house to the dancing and discotheque at the end of the night. Photos are taken of all the moments of the day; at the bride and groom’s house, the ceremony, portraits of the newlyweds, portraits of the guests, the appetizer, the restaurant and the dancing. This is the most requested option for longer weddings.

-Post-Wedding Session: Is a 2 hour photo shoot where we take pictures to extend the album with more portraits of the bride and groom after the wedding. This is a fun and casual meeting in which we can create stunning images.

All of the photos are retouched one by one and processed to have the best results and they are handed in with high resolution on 3 Pen Drive without digital watermarking or protection, this way it can be freely used without restrictions.

The resolution of the photos is 21 megapixels and the files are handed in as JPG so that any PC can easily open them.

We use 2 professional digital cameras with the best lenses in the market. Our gear is: 2 Canon 5D mark II cameras, 16-35mm. f2.8 L II USM, 24mm. f1.4 L II USM, 35mm. f1.4 L USM, 50mm. f1.2 L USM, 85mm. f1.2 L II USM, Flash Metz 48 AF-1 Digital.

THE ALBUMS:

Currently, there are many types of wedding albums. The different types of albums are distinguished by the way they are bounded and especially by the way the photos are integrated onto the pages.

Among the three types of albums there are the traditional albums where the photos are glued, the albums where the photos are framed and digital albums. The digital albums have the photos integrated on each page of the album, these are the most popular albums in recent years and are the ones we offer.

Digital technology (Photoshop, Indesign, etc…) and computer design have facilitated the making of these digital albums. This kind of digital technology is what is used for the design and composition of each of the pages, offering us infinite possibilities.

We fundamentally have opted for the digital album with a simple but elegant design. This chosen design is result of a totally conscious decision. We firmly believe that a simple design is timeless, without the risk of it becoming out of style after the passing of years.

Precisely because the album should last for many years we have to be aware of the importance of the design and the materials used.

The materials of our albums are of the highest quality. We use professional quality paper, the binding is done by hand and all of the pages are sewn continuously. This process guarantees a high permanence of the color of the photographs and a solid binding resistant to use and the passing of time.

On the other hand, the materials used for the outer part of the album must also be selected, this way we are able to create a fully custom design. We have a wide variety of leathers, fabrics with different textures, colors and materials. This is an important characteristic of current albums, since being able to choose from different kinds of materials opens a wide array of possibilities.

The work of designing the album isn’t something the bride and groom usually do, since it requires specific knowledge about the material. Because of this, we always take care of the whole process, from the layout to the binding. Of course, we always offer the bride and groom a large variety of designs to choose from and we are open to suggestions.

ORGANIZATION AND RECOMENDATIONS:

In a wedding there are a number of important details to keep in mind, many of which we would not normally consider. Organizing a wedding is a complicated task and can be stressful, especially if we don’t have enough time to do it.

Because of this it is highly recommendable to hire a professional wedding planner that will relieve you of all the tension and worries that are involved with organizing. Sometimes it is not possible or you simply don’t want to hire a wedding planner because you would rather do everything yourselves. In this case, you will need advice from each of the professionals who will participate in your wedding in any way.

The professionals who work in weddings have lots of experience and without a doubt are who know more about weddings. It is very important to ask each professional for advice in order to have a general idea of the problems that can come up.

In the case of photography, there are lots of details that we can consider. Of course, our suggestions are simply recommendations in order to make the best wedding photo shoot possible.

-Attitude: In the first place, we have to be aware that our attitude is important. A wedding has a lot in common with the performing arts: there is a wardrobe, make-up, audience, a script to follow… And all of this can lead us to act out a part. Naturalness is fundamental for taking photographs that reflect your personality and ones in which you can identify yourselves. Therefore, it is very important that you are relaxed and be yourselves.

-Wardrobe: Picking out the wardrobe is one of the most personal things that exist, which is why it is important that you don’t let yourselves be influenced by the opinions that surround you. You should pick clothing that you really like. This will help you feel more comfortable and enjoy to the fullest everything that happens on the wedding day. And of course, that is reflected in the photographs.

-Make-up and hairdressing: Another aspect that affects the photos is without a doubt the make-up and hairstyle. It is something that few people stop and think about but it is important that you do a trial run of the make-up and hair style to make sure there are no unwanted surprises the day of the wedding. It is recommendable to not over do it with the make-up, keep it simple by highlighting your features.

-Houses and hotels: The places you choose for the preparations are extremely important. The context in which the photos are taken greatly affects the final result. You should keep in mind that the place should be spacious, well-lit, with few people and, most importantly, well-organized.

Many times the groom and fiancée don’t realize, especially when they have spent the previous night in the hotel, the mess that there is in the rooms. It is normal to not have this detail in mind with all the work in the preparations, but it is important that someone be in charge of cleaning up the room before we get there, since this will help obtain cleaner photos, and therefore more elegant ones.

-Ceremony: The ceremony is probably the most complicated moment to control, but we can keep a few details in mind to help us obtain better photos. The floral decorations are without a doubt one of the important aspects to consider and it is recommendable to hire a professional to do this, since the photos are greatly improved when the space is well-decorated.

The decor of the interior space is also important, so it is important to remove strange objects that can be found in the church or in the place where the ceremony is being held (fans that are not being used, tripods for microphones that are not being used or can be done without, chairs that may be in the way, trash cans, signs, etc…)

On the other hand, the lighting is crucial since we work with natural light. Normally churches have lighting but sometimes it is not used 100%. It is essential that all of the lighting available in the church is lit so that we can have enough light to work without flash and be true to our style.

-Portraits: The portraits that we take of the newlyweds alone after the ceremony are of great importance. In order to obtain very beautiful photos it is fundamental to be in a special place, if possible surrounded by nature with a landscape that we can use to situate us far from the normal context. This location is very important, that is why we usually explore the area a few days before the wedding to find places that are close-by and favorable.

On the other hand, we recommend having the ceremony early, around mid-day since, especially in the winter, the light is gone by the afternoon.

-Restaurant: Like in the church, the same idea is recommended for the restaurant, take care over the decoration, the lighting, in addition to removing strange elements that can be done without.

-The dancing: The moment of dancing is very important, in this case the details that favor the photos are normally not considered. It is very important to have enough lighting for the discotheque but also a spotlight for illuminating the newlyweds when they start their dance. It is highly recommendable to put colored lights, lasers, discotheque balls, etc…, all of these elements will give lots of color and vitality to the final photographs.

-Other photographers: Today everyone has a digital camera and of course a wedding is a great moment to use it. We don’t have any problems with people taking photos around us, we understand and we know that it is inevitable.

What we do recommend is that you kindly ask the guests-photographers to try not to interfere with our work as hired professionals. It is especially important that the other photographers respect our privileged space and allow us to work with complete freedom keeping in mind that they should not compete with us, but allow us to move around.

Evidently, all of these are not unavoidable conditions but advice that we give with the goal of obtaining the best photographic shoot possible. Therefore it is in your hands to accept them with total freedom.
